Please note this is Reading Half Marathon Day, please check your travel arrangement to Reading Station, as some buses will not run to Reading Station and Reading town centre will be busier than normal.

Meet Theale railway Station 11:00.

From Theale station walk down canal to Spring Inn, Sulhamstead (2.5 miles), back via canal to Sulhamstead Swing Bridge, cross canal to river and follower path across railway and on to A4 roundabout with A340, walk down The Green to Volunteer (not on Ale Trail) and on to Bull & Falcon back to station (Total mileage 5.5 miles). I have a table for 6 peoples booked for 15:00 at the Bull, if you plan to eat at The Bull please let me know via email.

This walk is mainly flat and it follows a mixture of tarmac, stone and firm mud tracks, some of which may be slippy after wet weather. Some of the paths may be rough or muddy, so please wear appropriate footwear.
