A historic pub in large grounds, with quality restaurant in an ancient, adjoining barn conversion. Somewhat remote, but less than an hour's gentle amble through the forest from Wargrave (A321) or Knowl Hill (A4), via a variety of routes. Or take a cab from Twyford or Wargrave (not too pricey if there's a few of you!). In summer opens 5.30 weekdays and stays open to 9 on Sundays. Pub quiz every 3rd Tuesday of the month. Please note the pub closes the immediate Tuesday following a Bank Holiday Monday.
